The comment of our oenologist

Rosso Riserva: blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot. Significant aging: 24 months in big barrels for a wine where the Sangiovese grapes express the terroir. In a fruity balance: harmonic and strong taste; dynamic and refining the tannins of the Sagrantino. The merlot adds volume in the mouth center and mineral strength. A wine that today has a fantastic balance and is definitely enjoyable and harmonic.

Terroir
In the centre of Umbria, only a few miles from Assisi, your gaze loses itself in the green of the vegetation, the olive trees and the small light-stoned farm houses. Montefalco dominates the landscape. A wine area of great value, also for the presence of a great autochtonous grape variety, the Sagrantino. With its particularly warm summers, this wine area offers a wine that is felt more in the mouth than in the nose. The base grape variety in the Montefalco and in the Montefalco Riserva is the Sangiovese, for a well-structured yet gentle wine. South-East exposure at 230 m over sea level on clay-calcareous soil. Mild weather.
