Barbaresco Currà 2010

Cantina del Glicine

Our Barbaresco Currà comes exclusively from the Neive vineyards, which belong to the Currà selection. Traditionally, this is a full-bodied and tannic wine that demands a long aging before being drunk. The modern winemaking systems, with shorter fermentations, offer a more elegant product with more intense perfumes, less tannic and less demanding in terms of maturation. Bright ruby red color that tends to turn orange with time. Ethereal and composed perfume with licorice, wild rose and violet and so on. Dry and velvety taste, quiet and very sophisticated.

The comment of our oenologist

Barbaresco Currà is, like all the other wines from Cantina del Glicine, a very easy wine that does not put itself on a pedestal. The winery produces two Barbaresco, we chose the Barbaresco Currà, which is the most territorial and fine one. For those wine drinkers that love a "muscular", well-structured barbaresco with a great tannic structure, Cascina Luisin is the answer. But for those who need an easier-to-drink barbaresco, the Currà from Cantine del Glicine is perfect. Of course, this wine is also very interesting for those who are approaching this grape variety and terroir for the first time, for it has a classic, yet immediate way. We are not offering any modern barbaresco, all fruity and pulpy, wines that are not able to express their terroir and grape variety. Barbaresco and Barolo are areas where the landscape and the vegetation are bare and essential, just like the wines should be. Excellent for meditation.
