Kurni 2011

Oasi degli Angeli

Dark ruby red color with purple flashes. Aromas of cherry jam, dried rose petals, sweet spices: balsamic and mineral notes; all elegantly followed by china, dark tobacco, rhubarb and chocolate powder. The palate is an explosion of sensations: warm, fresh and soft with truly enviable silky tannins. The very long finish is marked by an intriguing hint of black licorice.

The comment of our oenologist

Rather low productions, grapes of high concentration harvested at the beginning of October: late vintage of Montepulciano. Vinification of small lots without compromises, aging exclusively in new wood but with particular attention to maintain the wholeness of the fruit. A wine that could be defined classic only in the first vintages; then, in 2001 it entered a new dimension - the sweetness of the fruit. A wine that exceeds standard schemes: though good when young, it is however a wine made for eternity.
