ARS VINUM - THE ART OF WINE Organically produced boutique wines from Italy

Schioppettino 2010

Vigna Petrussa

Where the Judrio laps the Albana plain, this great red wine with violet shades and spicy perfumes is produced from carefully selected Ribolla Nera grapes. It is a territorial wine with a remarkable character. It has its origin in Albana di Prepotto, where it fully expresses all its potential. It is full and persistent in the nose with hints of wild berries and violet. In the palate it meets the expectations, freeing the pulp of the fruit and expanding with soft elegance.

The comment of our oenologist

The Schioppettino is another great expression of the Petrussa winery. However, opposite to the Refosco it is a particularly classic wine, dry in the perfumes and on the palate, with no sweetness and no extracts. Smoked, floral, lean and fleshless in the mouth, flavorful and gloomy. The Schioppettino is not an easy wine, however gracile and as one drinks it, one gets closer to it and becomes passionate about this wine with its out-of-time personality.
